Painting is something I began doing when I was about 12 years old, I majored in art at high school and attended workshops at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira New York for three years, studying figure drawing, still life painting and portraiture. I have been passionate about art and the study of art history for over thirty years. In the late seventies I painted dozens of original works, in addition to that I started painting rock inspired jean jackets with portraits of artist from that era. Most were commissioned work, and very popular. Life and a family became a priority soon after that and I gave it up for a while. I worked as a carpenter for many years and thoroughly enjoyed what I did. I began painting again in 2011, and after nearly thirty years since my last work, I'm back. I paint what excites me, usually working on more than one work at a time. hope you like what you see.
